Yes. Let’s get rid of whiteness. The paradox that you point out is that we can’t get rid of it without seeing it. And in order to see it we have to claim it. And claiming it feels uncomfortable. I’d rather think of racism as a problem experienced by other people and try to help them. But I think I help them most by looking face first at my own whiteness and trying to understand it.
