Wow! Amazing close-ups and great story. We have barred owls in our woods and each spring there seems to be one that is always in the woods north of our house. One year some visitors noticed three fuzzy owlets up near the adult. Over the course of a week, we watched the owlets gain confidence flying from branch to branch while the adults stood guard. Then, one day, they had moved on.

My only discrepency is that the implement in the photo is clearly a disc and not a brush hog mower.
