The question is how to wake people up. The video I clicked on was the Story of Broke. It makes it clear what the problem is. I like their solution to vote the bums out, too. I think Robinson’s novel assumed that the democratic process was so corrupted by money that change needed to be forced on people. I’m personally not ready to use violence against people or property. In the novel, our protagonist has plausible deniability. She doesn’t manage the violence but she doesn’t stop it. I was thinking about the people who threw paint at works of art. They were trying to wake people up.
