Our team had a long time when we refused to become a mixed side. Our squire had founded the team as a place for us to gather as men, and there are few spaces for that to happen today. I have fond memories of the sort of wild dancing that we would do back then. One time we had a dance out with another all-male team and we lined up against them and went at it with gusto. My friend and former teammate is part of something called the Man Kind project and he keeps inviting me to join him on a wilderness weekend. My work is too much for me to take on another commitment, but it appeals to me. I don’t think I meant to say say that men-only sides are inherently sexist. I certainly wouldn’t say that about a women-only side. SO perhaps I will re-work that section.
