Ten Reasons to Read my Climate Change Catastrophe Novel

It is getting hot!

I wrote a ding-dang book about Midwestern teenagers in a climate change crisis.

Picture this:

Tanks are rolling down the streets of St. Paul, Minnesota. The military has just launched a coup to overthrow a President who had continued to deny climate change in the midst of multiple catastrophic disasters. The new ruling military Junta divides the country into semi-autonomous regions, each ruled by one of their generals. In a series of drastic measures, the Junta cracks down on all fossil fuel use across the country, deliberately making rural life nearly impossible. A teenager is caught up while protesting an authoritarian crackdown in the city, and his grandparents try to survive and thrive in the increasingly anarchic countryside. They write actual letters back and forth during the collapse.

Sounds fun? Worth the read? Actually, maybe for you, yes. Here is why:

  1. I will pay you.

Not kidding. If you are one of the first three people to read this novel all the way through on Medium, contact me and I will make a donation in your name to the climate change fighting non-profit of your choice.

2. You can make it into a game.

To live in a world of peace and justice we must imagine it first. For this, we need artists and writers. I write to reach for the edges of what is possible.
