Republicans Decide to Run AI Trump
(Fake) News from the near future
President Harris today was unable to stop a new law from going into effect that allows AI versions of former politicians to serve as President. The law had strong bipartisan support in the wake of the shocking recent deaths of both President Biden and former President Trump in freak simultaneous meteor strikes.
Senator Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky), speaking after a brief pause, said “I will be transitioning to my own authorized AI in the next few weeks.”
Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R- California) said: “The Republicans need someone with a strong track record of electability on the ballot, and Trump 2.0 will give us the candidate we will need to defeat Biden 2.0.”
He went on to say “The advances in AI technology have been proven in the last few months in the fields of both movies and music. The box office success of new movies starring John Wayne 2.0 and Marilyn Monroe 2.0 is only rivaled by the number one and two albums recently released by Michael Jackson 2.0 and Whitney Houston 2.0.”
