My Favorite Writers on Medium
A running list to replace my long-gone favorites tab
Hello, friends on Medium. I feel like I have not been seeing your stories in my feed. The Algorithm feeds me content that I sometimes appreciate, but I end up missing some of my favorite writers. There used to be a favorites tab, but that went away in a website update.
So I am recreating a favorites tab in this post. I plan for this to be a living document. These 50 authors are a start on the list. Now, when I read an essay that makes me think, I will add the author’s name and a quote so I can find them again later.
I went through to see who I have recently added to my reading list and who regularly responds to my stories. I noticed that recently a few commenters have been leaving generic comments that don’t seem relevant and I think they might be AI bots.
If I forgot to add you to this list and we are “Medium friends,” please know it was not intentional. Drop me a comment and I will add you.
