I think 8 or 9 out of 10 of my followers are just playing the follow for follow game. I looked one month at all of my new followers and only about 10 % had interacted with any of my stories. I’m okay with that but I don’t get the same rush of satisfaction I used to when I receive a new follower notification.

My irl writers group meets every two weeks and we have a couple go rounds where we share updates and struggles and get feedback. I found them when someone posted on a local email list that they wanted to start a writers group.
