I feel like I just finished writing a term paper! I did a lot of underlining and writing in the margins on my copy of the book because I kept trying to figure out what his core point were and how they related to modern life. It is so interesting to read history books because what they choose to focus on is always connected to something happening in the society where and when they are written.

I forwarded my review to my friend who recommended that we read it, but I will be suspicious of any further suggestions from her.
