Great points. As a person who was raised in the church (my dad, brother, grandpa all ministers), I understand completely why so many people leave. As a kid I seldom wanted to go to church. It was boring and judgy. Later the whole creationist thing and bad things happening to good people had me saying no thank you. I did like Jesus and as an adult I can see the value of community, but it is not enough for me.
