Making trenches to plant onions. All photos by the author.

This week we had a class out to plant onions and leeks. The weather cooperated and we were able to get them all in. Then we got some strawberries planted and filled the greenhouse with plants to transplant in the coming weeks.

We had a class of first through third graders here from Tuesday to Friday. This was the trip that they looked forward to all year and it did not disappoint. The weather was perfect and we had many adventures with them.

The spruce trees all have tender new growth.
I took a group of kids to the pond and two of them took a shortcut back across the field.
I love all the greens.
We had one more bit of northern lights last Saturday night.

In writing news, there is no news. My peasant essay continues to simmer while I work outside.
